Honey-Tamari Glazed Radishes

Honey-Tamari Glazed Radishes

Adapted from Dishing Up the Dirt

  • 1 bunch radishes, greens roughly chopped and radishes cut in half lengthwise

  • 1 1/2 tbs. olive oil

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tbs. tamari or soy sauce

  • 1 tbs. rice vinegar

  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil

  • 1–2 scallions, sliced

  • Cilantro, roughly chopped, for garnish

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the halved radishes and cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.

Add the honey and tamari and reduce the heat to medium. Cook, stirring often, until the radishes are glazed and the honey/tamari is syrupy, about 3–5 minutes.

Stir in the rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and chopped radish greens and cook until the greens are wilted. Garnish with scallions and cilantro, if desired, and serve with rice and a fried egg!
