Our Beginning

David and Amanda have been gardening and farming together for eight years now. They started off with just a small patch of garlic that would move with them from one house to the next and has grown into the Stone Soup Farm garlic crop. They’re devoted to strengthening the local food system in a way in which organic food can be grown with good labor practices and become accessible to everyone.

The Farm

Stone Soup Farm is a small diversified vegetable and egg farm that sits on 15 rich acres of silty loam soil along the edge of the Connecticut River. We use all organic practices, minimize waste, and reuse materials as much as possible. We’re constantly working on improving the health and fertility of the soil we grow on using cover cropping and organic amendments. Our eggs are from free range, pasture raised hens, fed only organic grain and vegetable scraps from the farm.


What's a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It’s a great way for consumers to buy food directly from a farm. You sign up at the beginning of the growing season, and receive a weekly load of fresh produce for your family. In this model you get a rich flavor of what is happening on the farm; when the farm has an abundance of something, you receive an abundance in your share! The quantity and variety varies throughout the season, giving you a full spectrum of seasonal produce that is grown at the farm.
